Applications

Fragrance
It shows a weak but long lasting, sweet-floral odor, which is less reminiscent of lily-of-the-valley than the corresponding aldehyde. It gives excellent fixative effects to floral compounds.
Substantivity: > 48 hours
Use level in compounds: 1-10%.

Flavor
Mainly used in perfumery. Sparingly used in flavor ompounds in imitation of citrus and other fruit complexes.
Use level in compounds: < 5 ppm.
